The Summer Day ~ Mary Oliver
Who made the world?
Who made the swan, and the black bear? Who made the grasshopper? This grasshopper, I mean- the one who has flung herself out of the grass, the one who is eating sugar out of my hand, who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down- who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes. Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face. Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away. I don't know exactly what a prayer is. I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down into the grass, how to kneel in the grass, how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields, which is what I have been doing all day. Tell me, what else should I have done? Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon? Tell me, what is it you plan to do With your one wild and precious life? From YahwehoneAs I gaze across the street, I see the world through my beliefs. A world of greed? A world of lies? A world where all meanings died. Where symbols reign more prominent than the values they represent

“We are born into bodies that are fluid and free. Yet for most of us, this state of grace is sadly short lived.
Judgement, emotional wounds, fear and loss become stored deep inside our muscles and bones, leaving us with shoulders that sag, hips that are locked, arms that can’t reach out, hearts that beat behind a stone wall. When we move our bodies we shake up firmly rooted systems of thought, old patterns of behavior and emotional responses that just don’t work anymore. Rhythm, breath, music and movement become tools for seeing, then freeing, the habits that hold us back. When we free the body, the heart begins to open. When the body and the heart taste freedom, the mind won’t be far behind. And when we put the psyche into motion, it will start to heal itself.“ ~Gabrielle Roth. I Send You This ~ Cherie Alver
I send you the wisdom you already have.
May you enter the cavern of your soul and extract the rare gems of light that will shine and bedazzle you with hope. May you fear not the uncertainty of tomorrow for all there really is exists at this moment. May the wind sweep upon your brow and remove your worry. May the sun bask you in deep healing. May the waters wash all regret from your heart. |
